Asperger Syndrome Support

We understand the difficulties you may encounter when interacting with others, which is why we want to help support you and this is why we are a college who specialise in Asperger syndrome support.

Social drama, functional skills, vocational skills and image in action are some of the sessions we offer, not to mention the more practical groups such as placements, horse riding classes, work experience and life skills to enrich all students’ lives. Students also have the option of incorporating academic study into their timetable and can undertake qualifications such as GCSEs and ASDAN.

With a 43 week service to all those who attend WLCC, our students are typically funded by local social service although we do welcome any other forms of funding – including personal budgets and private direct payments.

The College is committed to empowering students to access opportunities that maximise their potential. An individualised, robust programme is devised using the student’s specific care plan. All targets set will be realistic in order to ensure that the student has the best opportunity to work towards leading a genuinely independent life.
